In the second part of our behind-the-scenes series, in which we let you explore some not-usually-seen places within Baobab Suites as well as meeting some of our super team members, we introduce you to the lovely lady who makes sure the hotel stays so clean and tidy that it sparkles! Warm, funny and always in a good mood, Luz (meaning “light”) literally lights up the corridors of the hotel. But don’t be fooled – she runs a very tight ship!

A little bit about me:
I’m from just down the road in Tijoco, Adeje, and have seen the Costa Adeje develop from almost nothing. I’ve spent the last 25 years in the tourism industry and honestly I can’t imagine doing anything else.
What I love most about my job:
Organising and controlling – I’m a bit of a control freak! I love moving around the hotel, coming into contact with lots of people and greeting the guests. The language barrier limits me a little but a smile is universal! The other thing I really love about my job here is my team – they really are fantastic. I’ve worked in many hotels, and I’ve never experienced such a team spirit.
Another passion of mine is:
Sewing and watching films. Now my children have grown and left home I have more free time – and more peace!
