Although it may feel like Monday was only yesterday, the weekend is upon us again – hooray! But while that fact does, of course, make us all very happy, it’s sometimes hard to know what do to, what to try and where to go, to make this weekend different from the last one, which you, somehow, spent doing nothing.
Tenerife offers an endless list of possibilities for a fabulous weekend, but here are 5 that, if you haven’t tried, we highly recommend:
La Pepa Food Market ,Los Cristianos:
Laid-back, friendly, and a selection of food and drink choices makes La Pepa a winner. There’s also a children’s play area. Great for families during the daytime, and perfect for a get together with friends as night begins to fall.
A walk and a sweet treat in El Médano:
Stroll along the long beach promenade, observing the surfers hard at work, and even climb to the top of Montaña Roja (at the far right extreme of the beach) for some stunning coastal views if you’re feeling fit. Then head to Flashpoint café for the island’s best apple strudel. Heaven.
Cocktails in Magic Lounge, Playa de la Américas:
There are cocktails, and there are cocktails. But the guys and girls at Magic Lounge on Tenerife’s Golden Mile know their stuff. Their gin tonics are also pretty impressive. And live music at the weekends makes this a great night out.
A visit to La Laguna:
Cute, cobbled streets, beautiful Canarian architecture and a youthful buzz make a trip to this Unesco World Heritage Site (and Tenerife’s former capital) well worthwhile.
Saturday Beach Club
At our very own Activate Sports Club. If you haven’t yet been to one of our Saturday Beach Club events, it’s time to sort that out! A great atmosphere, lots of fun activities and a delicious menu at Fuel RestoBar – we dare you to think of one good reason not to try it!
