NAME: PRISCILA SOLEDAD BRITO
POSITION: CHAMBERMAID
NATIONALITY: SPANISH
A little bit about me:
I was actually born in Argentina, because my great-grandparents emigrated there from the Canary Islands in search of a better future for their children, but I moved back to the Canaries when I was just 9 months old, so I feel as Canarian as Gofio! I’ve lived in Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria before Tenerife, but I’m settled here now. I’ve been working in the hotel industry since I was 17 years old, and I love being in contact with the clients on a daily basis. This has encouraged me to study English and German so that I can have an even closer understanding of the client’s needs.
Working at Baobab is:
All about taking care of the little details, making sure everything is done just the way the client wants it. We’re really just like a large family at work, it’s a lovely, relaxed, supportive atmosphere to work in, and I’m very grateful for the team spirit I’ve found here.
My parents taught me:
The importance of travelling. They always took any opportunity they could to travel and it’s something I’ve tried to maintain. Learning about new cultures, visiting new places and meeting new people is amazing.
My passions are:
Reading, writing and travelling. I devour books; reading takes me to new worlds and fills me with energy. I don’t get as much time to read now I’m a mum, but I love to lose myself in a book whenever I can. I’ve always loves to write as well. I express myself quite well and my mother has always called me “a dreamer”.
